About The SaaS Wire

An independent publication about the software businesses actually pay for — written by people who have to make those purchase decisions themselves, with their own money.

Why this site exists

Search for "best email marketing software" and you will get a hundred articles that are the same article. The same eight tools, in roughly the same order, described in the same weightless language, with no drawback specific enough to be useful and no indication that the writer ever logged in. They are written to rank, not to help you decide.

Meanwhile the decision they're supposedly helping with is genuinely hard and genuinely expensive. Software you build a workflow on top of is not a purchase, it's a commitment: you'll be paying every month for years, your data will live inside it, and switching later costs you weeks. That deserves better than a listicle.

The SaaS Wire is our attempt at the better version — reviews that name the trade-off, tell you who the tool is wrong for, and are honest about how much first-hand experience sits behind each verdict.

Who writes it

The SaaS Wire is published by 7 Pixel Soluções, Tecnologia e Marketing LTDA, a technology and marketing company based in Brazil, and edited by its founder, Daniel .

The relevant qualification isn't a media background — it's that we are the customer. 7 Pixel builds and runs websites, automations and internal systems for client businesses, which means we spend a significant part of every month choosing, paying for, configuring and occasionally ripping out exactly the category of software this site covers: email platforms, CRMs, automation tools, hosting, security and backup. Our opinions come out of live accounts, real invoices and the occasional painful migration — the kind of experience that shows up in a review as a specific warning rather than a generic pro and con.

What we promise

  • We say what a tool is bad at. Every recommendation on this site carries real, specific drawbacks. If we can't name one, we haven't looked hard enough to publish.
  • We don't overstate our testing. Every tool is labelled with how much we've actually used it — from "used in production" down to "researched, not tested". The methodology page explains the levels.
  • We disclose the money. Affiliate commissions fund this site, stated at the top of every page that contains them, not hidden in a footer. See the full disclosure.
  • We date everything and fix what breaks. Software pricing changes constantly. Every page carries the date we last verified it, and corrections are noted rather than quietly edited in.
  • No manufactured urgency. No fake countdowns, no invented scarcity, no "only 3 spots left" on a product with infinite inventory. If a deal has a real deadline we'll say so; otherwise we won't pretend.

The uncomfortable part

We are paid by the companies we review, through affiliate programs. That is a conflict of interest and we're not going to write a paragraph pretending it isn't one. What we can do is be specific about the rules we work under, publish them, and let you hold us to them — which is what the How we test and Disclosure pages are for. Read them sceptically. If you catch us falling short of what they say, tell us, and we'll either fix the article or lose the reader — both of which are fair.

Get in touch

Corrections, disagreements, a tool you think we've got wrong, or a category you'd like covered: contact@thesaaswire.com.

Vendors: we don't accept sponsored posts, paid placement, or paid links, and we don't share drafts before publication. You are welcome to send us access, documentation, or a correction of a factual error, and we'll treat all three on the merits.
